Joanne Giesinger, skating with Holiday on Ice

And All That Jazz was opened in 2002 by Sherwood Park resident, Joanne Giesinger. Having one daughter in dance and one in gymnastics, she recognized the need for a store of this kind in Sherwood Park. Joanne comes from a figure skating background. She was a competitive figure skater as a child and upon completing high school went on to skate professionally with Holiday On Ice in South America and Europe. She recently retired from coaching, after 27 years.

Now, instructing fitness classes and racing triathlons keeps her busy.

And All That Jazz strives to provide great customer service. We are in constant contact with dance studios to ensure that we stock items in the correct styles and colors for their dancers. Customers rely on our knowledge and expertise to leave the store fully prepared for class. Our friendly sales team all has a background in dance, gymnastics or figure skating.

Our store manager, Dawn, has three children who danced competitively for many years. Her two daughters have danced professionally for Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise lines. Dawn has been working in the dance industry for 21 years.

Emily C was one of our original employees when we opened in 2002. At the time, she was a competitive dancer and she went on to dance with Princess Cruise lines. She is currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Education program at the U of A and teaches dance to the figure skaters at the Sherwood Park figure skating club. 

Stephanie dances with the Shumka dance company while attending University of Alberta full time.

Rowan has been dancing since she was a little girl. She currently dances with Shelley’s Dance Company and is involved with musical theater and drama.

Dawn Fannin

Kelsey has been involved with dance since she was 3 years old and trains at Hyperflex Dance Studio. Also, she trained and competed as a gymnast at Salto Gymnastics club for 14 years, and continues at the gym as a coach.

Melanie is a competitive soccer player who hopes to continue playing for a college in the States. She enjoys spending time performing in drama and musical theater productions.
